ResTek requires you to have a virus scanner before you can connect to the residential network. Most new computers come with a virus scanner pre-installed and this will work just fine for ResTek as long as you keep it up to date.

If you don’t have a virus-scanner, however, you’ll need to obtain one. Please see the ATUS website with more specifics.

P.S. The University Residences Moving In brochure and Residential Community Handbook contain outdated information regarding the availability of a anti-virus scanner.

ResTek recommends that you either buy one or use one of the many various free options available on the internet. Some of the popular choices are Avira, Avast!, and AVG Free.
