Mac Release/Renew Your IP

These instructions will guide you in releasing and renewing your IP address. If you are already registered on the network, this will refresh your current IP address.

  1. Go to Apple > System Preferences > Network
  2. Click the TCP/IP tab.
  3. Click the Renew DHCP Lease button. What does your IP start with?

    67.201.x.x: Your computer is registered on our network and you should now have an Internet connection. Try restarting your computer. If your computer is still having difficulties accessing the Internet, contact ResTek.

    192.168.x.x: If you are not connected using a router, further troubleshooting is needed and you should contact ResTek (they will want to know your IP). If you are connecting to the network through a router, please double check the connect a wireless router instructions.

    10.201.x.x: Your computer has a temporary, unregistered IP. Open your web browser and you should get the ResTek Network Registration page. If you do not see this page, please view these additional connection troubleshooting instructions.
