Register your Xbox or Xbox 360

To connect to Xbox Live, you must first register your Xbox’s network card with ResTek. Because Xboxes cannot pass the steps in our network registration process, you simply need to provide us with your Xbox’s MAC address by filling out our device registration form. Once the MAC address is entered into our system, your Xbox will be assigned an IP address, and your Xbox will have access to Xbox Live.

Locating the MAC address on an Xbox

  1. Turn on your Xbox console with no game disc in the disc tray.
  2. From the Xbox Dashboard, choose Xbox Live.
  3. From the Connect Status screen, select Settings.
  4. The MAC address is the 12-digit combination of letters and numbers in the bottom-right corner of the Network Settings screen

  1. Go to the My Xbox area of the Xbox Dashboard and select System Settings.
  2. Select Network Settings.
  3. Select Configure Network.
  4. From Additional Settings, select Advanced Settings.
  5. At the bottom of this screen you’ll see a heading called Wired MAC Address.

If you do not have an extra jack in your room to plug in your Xbox, you can purchase a network hub or router from the WWU AS Bookstore, or any large electronics store in the Bellingham area – Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, etc.
